the end of the world after party

So, my friend Joey pointed out to me the billboard on a major road in Orlando advertising the end of the world on May 21. I went to the website, and it URL proclaims its unbiblical claim: Jesus is coming May 21 AND we can know it for sure (www.wecanknow.com). Never mind that Jesus said, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36).

So, I loved Stoney's counter billboard. You are all invited for lunch--my treat.

  4. I'm making big plans for May 22-Oct 21. If I'm still here, then I'm going to hell. If so, I might as well "eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we will die..." Where do these people come from?

  5. While I do not think things will change much tomorrow, I do believe we are in the season of His return, so I would not be surprised.
I Thess 5:4 "But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief."
If I recall correctly, a good friend of mine is a scholar of Paul and even wrote a commentary on Thessalonians. ;)

  6. Jeff, to apply 1 Thess 5:4 to this wacko and tomorrow: a thief does not take billboards up across the country to announce when he will break in. Because I take 1 Thess 5:4 seriously, I will be VERY surprised if Jesus chooses tomorrow...

  7. The minute Harold opened his mouth and exposed God's big secret plan, the end of the world was off.
And God said: Dude, what you doin'? Now I have to change the date! Sorry guys, no party.
